Women of Faith is coming back to Sacramento on October 26-27, 2012 at Power Balance Pavilion. China Short-term Mission 2012

When: Sunday, July 15 to Thursday, August 2, 2012 (18 days)

Where: En Ping City, Guangdong Province, China

Why: 1. To share God’s love with the Enping community

2. To teach conversational English with local teachers and students

3. Continue building relationships that have been established since 2004

4. Encourage the Enping Christian Church as they are seeking God’s direction

5. Be a witness for the Lord and a blessing to others

Who: 1. Committed follower of Jesus Christ

2. Willing to step out of one’s comfort-zone

3. Has the desire to serve in China

4. Physically able to travel (13-hour-flight one-way)

5. Physically able to climb stairs

5. Can tolerate heat and humidity

6. Native English speaker

Cost: *$1,950

What will be involved?

Give selflessly in time, resources, energy and skills
Write a personal testimony
Bi-weekly group meeting for prayer and training
Raise own financial support
Apply for passport (if you don’t have one yet)
Get travel shots (if needed)

First Meeting: Sunday Feb. 12^th. If you are serious about this mission, come join us and be prepared to turn in your application at the meeting.

*This includes airfare, transportations, China entry visa fee, accommodations, food, teaching materials, small gifts, and some bilingual Bibles. A personal credit card is needed to purchase your own plane ticket in March. You can request for reimbursement after your have raised enough funds.

True North Class

True North Class: Much like a compass that needs to be oriented to “true north”, new and mature believers need to have their journey grounded in the truth of Christianity. This course will help the new and mature believer get their bearings and provide a foundation required for the trip ahead.

- starts February 26th (5 weeks)

- Start time: 10:30pm

- Less than 1 hour of homework a week

- For New Believers or Believers who have never taken a Basic Christianity class

Women’s Tea: Tickets are available for our “Tea-licious Valentine” event on Saturday February 11 from 3-5pm in the Fireside Room at Heritage Park. Tickets are $10 and must be purchased in advance. Hurry–space is limited. Our afternoon tea promises to be a journey of contentment.
