Baptism Class

Children’s Ministry Teachers Needed

The Children’s Ministry Needs You: Only 1 time a month. Our Children’s Ministry is growing and we need another Preschool/Kindergarten teacher, Teacher and Helper for the 4-6th grade class room, 1 couple who Sets Up/Take Down the Children Ministry and Volunteers for our new 2-3 year old group, starting this September.

Community Group Sign Ups: Do you feel like a face in the crowd? Looking for a way to get connected in 2010 at Adventure? We are taking signups for City Hope community groups. We have several new groups available including a Young Adults age 18-30, a 9am Sunday morning group, and a 1pm Sunday afternoon group. In community groups, people (couples, singles, women, men, youth) study God’s Word together and discuss the issues and challenges of life. It’s also where they pray, care for one another, and are missed if they don’t show up. Sign up today at the back table, or email acastorena@adventurenorth.org

Starting Point Orientation

We are holding a Starting Point Orientation (previously Newcomer’s Class) on Sunday August 22nd at 10:30am. Please meet in front of the Starting Point sign in front of the main adult services entrance. Inspiring Transformation Together

It’s a prayer I hope you are praying with me as we approach the “4^th quarter” of Adventure of Natomas’ three year spiritual journey called Inspiring Transformation Together (ITT) in which we hope to establish a church home that will be a gift to our community! If you have questions, please note the attached Frequently Asked Questions.

Located in your ITT Information Packets are commitment cards that we will be collecting on Sunday, October 25 during a combined 10:30 a.m. Commitment Sunday Worship Service. This will be followed by a Harvest Festival with free food, children’s & youth activities, and a free concert! We will collect a “First Gifts” offering of those faith commitments on Sunday, November 8th! Note: If you choose to mail in your commitment cards, our mailing address is: 4660 Natomas Blvd. Suite 120-#200, Sacramento, CA 95835.

One combined 10:30 a.m. Adventure service
A free Harvest Festival & Christian Music Concert with Dave Shaffer (12-2:30PM).

Sunday, November 8^th– First Gifts Offering Sunday

November 8th is the Start Date of our three year Inspiring Transformation Together Commitment which is over and above your regular giving.
If you plan to give cash, please mark the box on the giving envelope that says “Future Land/Building.” If you write a check, please memo the check “Future Land/Building” so we are able to place your gift in the proper account.

This Sunday, I will be speaking to the fifth reality of Experiencing God: God’s Invitation Leads to a Crisis of Unbelief.

Services at Heron School!

We are currently meeting at Heron School (5151 Banfield Dr, Sacramento, CA 95835)

The recently established Natomas charter school, called, NP3, will be the new tenants of what is currently occupied by Natomas Middle School. NP3 has clarified to Natomas Unified School District and to Adventure that they need Adventure to vacate their new campus in July for move-in purposes. We will be moving to Heron School (K-8) in July. Natomas Unified School District has promised Adventure first choice should the new NP3 facility contract be available.

We will still have our 9am and 10:30am services, as well as all of our regular children’s programs.
